dadi · grandma

You speak to them in Gujarati. They answer in English.

School, shows and friends fill their whole day with English. The family language gets the leftovers, and on video calls home the words come out shy.

Bolo! gives Gujarati a daily place to win: a few calm minutes of play where every word is heard, said out loud and collected like treasure.

So the next call home can start with a proud કેમ છો, દાદી!

Hear it, say it, keep it.

Kapi says the word, your child says it back, and the card becomes a sticker in their collection. No scores, no wrong answers, just collecting.

70

words across 12 trails, each one a sticker to keep

First they say it. Then they read it.

Every Gujarati letter is a little road their finger follows, and it fills with colour as they trace, just like Kapi’s Chalisa words. Each one arrives holding hands with a word they already know: comes with કૂતરો, the dog they have tapped since they were four.

  1. Meet

Kapi says the letter and the word it lives in.

  2. Trace

Their finger draws it; the letter fills with marigold.

  3. Read

Letters become a word, and they read it out loud.

Clay dog sticker

The day they read કૂતરો on their own, the dog sticker they earned at four comes flying back.

Straight from the iPad.

Real screens, not mockups: the home screen, the Gujarati trail, and a Chalisa verse at twilight.

Meet Kapi. He does the talking.

One patient voice guides every game, so pre-readers never need to read. Kapi speaks kid-paced Gujarati and English, waits as long as it takes, and calls your child dost, friend.

Kapi cupping a hand to his ear, listening

The Hanuman Chalisa, as gentle karaoke.

Kapi recites each verse slowly, your child echoes him, and the words catch the glow as they go. No melody to master: just their own small voice, getting braver.

जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुन सागर।

Hooray for Hanuman! He is an ocean of wisdom.

No scores, no streaks.

Wrong taps get a wiggle and a hint glow, never a red X. Rewards are stickers, confetti and a monkey dance.

Every word, game and verse lives on the device. Airplane mode changes nothing.

Parents hold the keys.

Money and settings sit behind a parent gate. The child only ever meets play.

Made for pre-readers.

Kapi speaks every instruction out loud. Text is decoration until reading arrives.
